Planting the Seed of the Chinese Zodiac

Growing up in a Chinese family and only eating out at Chinese restaurants, I would always read about the Chinese zodiac on the cheap paper placemats.  I would wonder how true the characteristics were to the person as I read about each animal that corresponded to each member of my family sitting with me.
